What's in a name?
I went to visit my parents today and they had a book that my uncle had worked on about the history of Edgecombe County (where my father's family is from). I finally got to see a list of all my great grandfather's children, named alphabetically.

Ada Belinda, Claudia Dorinda, Effie Fostina, Gertha Helen, Ivey Joseph, Katie Luelnor, Marion Napoleon (known as "Bee"), Oliver Pervis (my grandfather) and Queen Ruby. They didn't finish the whole alphabet.
I also learned my grandmother's first husband's name was Rosebud Uriah. I guess it's not just for sleds.
And my father thought Ian was an odd name to pick for our son. Whew.
