I can't remember the last pumpkin I've carved before this year. Even when I was a kid, my pumpkins were always the "classic" variety with triangle eyes, nose and teeth. So we tried some new things this year. First, we actually bought pumpkins for the purpose of carving, which puts us way ahead of last year.
