Whoa bubbles!

We stopped at the car wash on the way home to freshen up the van. Ian normally gets a little worried when those big brushes start slapping the windows but I told him the van was getting bubbles just like he does. "Oh! Bubbles!" And suddenly it was all okay.

So when we got home, he had to have his bubbles too. My favorite is when he "swims" on his belly and says "whoa!" over and over.

Appetite

Every once in a while Ian will get picky about food. And every once in a while I feel bad for letting him eat a cookie before dinner (so that he eats more cookie than dinner). But nights like tonight make me happy. He devoured about a cup of my homemade guacamole, fistfuls of spinach, some chick peas, a few grapes, a ton of water, some mac and cheese (with his spoon) and half a cookie. The dog swiped the other half.

That combined with some mama milk and I think he'll do fine.

Happy reunions

We went to pick up Ian today together but I went in first while Rich re-parked the van. I love sneaking in and seeing how he's playing with the other kids and then seeing his reaction to realizing I'm there. He was over in the corner at a table with one of the twins and looked up to see me. He jumped up out of his seat and rocketed across the room ... right past me and over to Ms. Aubrie to get his sticker.

They tell the kids every day that they can have their sticker when their Mommy comes to get them. So apparently I was just the sign it was STICKER TIME!
