Thyme in a Bottle

I've been humming Jim Croce all night. In the ever expanding list of " ... in a bottle" stuff I can create, I've added a recipe web site to my web server space. You can get to it by clicking on the Recipes link to the right on my main page or going to Thyme in a Bottle directly.

I added the recipes in my pile of family recipes and also some of Jeremy's I have sitting around. I have a large number of his grandmother's recipes I need to get back to him at some point. But for now they're in a safe place and handily available online. This way when you get vanilla extract and butter all over the recipe, you can just print a new one.

Happy baking, everyone!

I have lots of other things to chat about, but for now, just check out the pics we took in Southwest Virginia while on vacation this weekend. Four Days in Southwest Virginia

We spent Friday just getting there (taking our time). Most of Saturday was spent visiting Ross and Katy in Floyd and eating dinner at Witness Protection Pizza. Sunday we hiked McAfee's Knob (which was almost too short an adventure, but I feared trying Dragon's Tooth with us out of shape), wandered downtown Blacksburg and ate at the Home Place Restaurant. Monday we went onto campus to marvel at the new buildings, catch up on library gossip and eat giant burgers at Mike's.

Rich and I are reading A Walk in the Woods out loud to each other and it's very good so far. We'll let you know when we finish it, but it's a good read to do together and pertinent to our vacation given its Appalachian Trail theme.
