Banana Pudding

This is a quick pudding to make that doesn't need to bake in the oven if you're short on oven space or time. Be sure to let it sit long enough for the nilla wafers to soak up the moisture from the pudding or they're hard to eat with a fork. 1 (5 1/2 oz.) package vanilla flavor instant pudding and pie filling 3 cups cold milk 2 cups of whipped topping (Cool Whip) 50 Nilla Wafers 4 large bananas

Prepare pudding according to the package directions using 3 cups of milk. Fold in one half of whipped topping. Reserve six wafers and 1 banana. Slice remaining bananas. Arrange a layer of wafers on the bottom of a 2-quart round baking dish or bowl. Spread one-quarter of the pudding over the wafers. Top with banana slices. Place wafers around sides of dish. Continue layering wafers, pudding and bananas, ending with pudding. Cover and chill three hours or until serving time. Slice remaining bananas. Garnish with banana slices, remaining six wafers and whipped topping.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
